Hearing aids come in a wide range of sizes, from completely invisible devices that sit deep inside the ear canal to larger behind-the-ear models that provide maximum power. Hearing Aid Sizes: Smallest to Largest

1. IIC (Invisible-in-Canal) - The Smallest

IIC hearing aids sit deep inside the ear canal and are virtually invisible when worn. They are custom-molded to your ear canal shape. Best for mild to moderate hearing loss. Due to their tiny size, they have limited battery life and fewer features.

2. CIC (Completely-in-Canal)

CIC hearing aids sit entirely within the ear canal with only a tiny removal string visible. Slightly larger than IIC, they offer better battery life and more processing power. Our CIC models start from Rs. 35,000.

3. Click CIC / Silk

Click CIC (Silk) hearing aids are similar in size to CIC but use soft silicone click sleeves instead of custom molds. This means they are ready to wear immediately without waiting for a custom mold. Available in multiple sizes to fit different ear canals.

4. ITC (In-the-Canal)

ITC hearing aids are slightly larger than CIC models and fill the lower portion of the outer ear. They can accommodate more features and have longer battery life. Suitable for mild to moderately severe hearing loss.

5. RIC (Receiver-in-Canal)

RIC hearing aids have a small housing that sits behind the ear, connected by a thin wire to a receiver inside the ear canal. Despite being a behind-the-ear style, they are remarkably small and discreet. Starting from Rs. 85,000, they offer excellent sound quality and features.

6. BTE (Behind-the-Ear) - The Largest

BTE hearing aids sit behind the ear with a tube that connects to an ear mold inside the ear. They are the largest type but also the most powerful. The Signia Prompt SP is a compact BTE starting from Rs. 35,000. Power BTE models can handle severe to profound hearing loss.

Which Size Should You Choose?

The right size depends on several factors:

• Hearing Loss Severity: Severe or profound hearing loss requires larger, more powerful devices like BTE.
• Dexterity: Smaller hearing aids with tiny batteries can be difficult for elderly users to handle. BTE models with larger batteries are easier to manage.
• Features Needed: Bluetooth, rechargeable batteries, and directional microphones require more space, typically found in RIC and BTE models.
• Cosmetic Preference: If invisibility is your top priority, CIC or IIC models are the way to go.
• Ear Canal Size: Very narrow ear canals may not accommodate CIC or IIC hearing aids.
